Russian born photographer Alexey Titarenko is one of the more important young contemporary artists. Known for his long exposure technique, he approaches photography from an opposite direction where backgrounds stay in focus as people form blurry masses of motion. Also a master printer, Titarenko's techniques are often born of necessity.

Using motion in photography can create an amazing, ghost-like quality when used in contrast with surroundings that are sharply in focus. We talked a lot lately about interpretations. In this video I take an in-depth look at 2 photographers who interpreted motion in the same manner, but brought their own personal style and culture to the image.
